The French
Association Concerto Grosso (CG) is currently developing a privileged cultural
relation with several provinces from China, mainly in Sichuan and Yunnan. Since
2009, the artistic manager of CG, the French pianist Antoine Bouvy is invited
every year to give Master classes and concerts in several University and music
schools, specialized in the piano performance.
In 2011,
the Association CG became an official partner of one of these schools (see
"Presentation of the partner school"). In this partnership, the task
of CG is to bring pedagogic and artistic advises and also to widen the field of
cultural exchanges between China and Europe.
In this
direction, in 2010 and 2011, CG organized in Paris several Master classes given
by the Chinese pianist Xuning, leader of several schools from the group Liu Shi
Kun (LSK) in Chengdu. A concert was also organized to promote some of the best
Chinese students from these schools. A relationship with the International
Piano Competition in Nice, started in 2009, is also being intensively developed
under the responsibility of CG.
